Next Generation Email Client
ZAOffice Desktop is a free and open source email client application that gives you online and offline access to all of your email accounts in one place. It’s cross-platform and available on Windows, Mac OS and Linux. ZAOffice Desktop works with many types of email systems to synchronize email, contacts and calendar data between user’s mailboxes in the cloud and local data stored on your computer disk.
The free ZAOffice Desktop client allows you to meld the online and offline worlds – storing and synching your email, calendar, contacts, files and documents in the cloud, yet having them locally accessible when on the road. ZAOffice Desktop aggregates information across accounts (ZAOffice, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) and social networks (Facebook, Digg, Twitter, etc.) to help make communicating & sharing information easier than ever. This feature also gives you the ability to make outbound phone calls in the form of Click To Call.
ZaApp is a “zipped” bundle of content that is deployed to the ZCS server by the ZAOffice ZaApps management tool. The files comprising the ZAOffice ZaApps bundle enable the integration of the ZCS platform with disparate information systems and content. ZaApps are a mechanism for integrating the Imogo Collaboration Suite (ZCS) with third party information systems and content. We also use the ZAOffice ZaApps approach to “mash-up” (intermix) user interfaces within the Imogo collaboration suite itself, such as by mashing up calendar and contacts within your email.
The Briefcase feature lets you save files in your mailbox, allowing you to access these files whenever you log in to your account from any computer.
You can upload documents, spreadsheets, presentations, images, pdf files from your computer or your computer network and you can save attachments sent with your email messages to a Briefcase folder. You can create different briefcase folders to organize the files.
Files in Briefcase are copies of the original file. Changes you make to files in your briefcase do not change the original file.
